Protocol No. 007

8 Jan 1975
Description: These are the minutes of the seventh session of the Warsaw Pact Committee of Defense Ministers (CDM) in Moscow in 1975. The document provides information on participants, questions discussed, and decisions made at the CDM meeting. Topics included the coordination of the national civil defense organizations, the further development of education and training for troops and staff members, and the state and development of NATO's armed forces. Due to the strengthening of NATO's armed forces, the Warsaw Pact countries also plan to increase their military capabilities. Romania objects to some aspects of cooperation in the area of civil defense, apparently due to ulterior considerations of national sovereignty.
